Proud!

We went to Florida a week or so ago. I was so proud of my Dad and Clark for running in the Disney 1/2 Marathon. Both did an OUTSTANDING job and finished in the top 15% and 10% respectively...out of 27,000--plus they started in the back of the pack, as this was their first race. So they probably passed over 20,000 people, and did so in great time.

Whitney Paige also met her Papa Whit for the first time. This picture is just missing Aunt Whitney, but is at least 3 generations of the 4 Whitney's. Papa Whit shared that Whitney isn't actually a family name, as he was named for his doctor--who apparently missed his delivery! That doctor might get a kick to know that Whitney is now a big family name. Our little Whitney Paige gets more than her name from my dad and granddad. She certainly looks like a Davenport baby as far as skin tone, face shape and beautiful blue eyes.

In my previous email, I failed to mention one other note. Whitney Paige wore a swimsuit for the first time and went swimming (indoor) during our trip to Florida. I actually probably shouldn't claim that she went swimming. The water was ok, but felt a little too cool for her, so she dipped her little "piggy-dogs" (toes) in the water.
